Prof. Tarek Ansari

Graduated from Alexandria faculty of medicine, Egypt in 1981; had his anesthetic training in Egypt, Kuwait and Edinburgh. A fellow of the faculty of Anesthetists at the Royal College of surgeons in Ireland since 1993. He Joined Corniche hospital as a consultant in 1996, and was appointed the chief of service for the anesthesia directorate in 2004.

Consultant obstetric anesthetist for more than 14 years, with special interest in acute pain management, ultrasound guided neuraxial block, the anesthetic management of critically ill mothers & quality and safety in anesthesia.

He has several publications in obstetric anesthesia in peer reviewed journals, and is a regular guest speaker at national and international meetings.

Corniche Hospital is a tertiary obstetrics and gynaecology facility with more than 8,000 deliveries per year. It is recognized for postgraduate training by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and for the Arab Board. It is managed by Johns Hopkins international and is accredited by Joint Commission International.

Dr. Metwally is a specialist in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole Hospitals. The Trust is a teaching Partnership with Hull and York Medical School in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Metwally is an anaesthetist by training; his main special interest is Pain Management. He runs the pain service within the Trust in Scunthorpe General Hospital. He is the Managing Director for the Lincs Pain Clinic in Grimsby and South Humberside area.

Committed to improve birthing conditions to low income families in areas of limited resources in Africa and the middle East through collaboration and working with local colleagues Recipient of multiple awards ,teacher of the year from Cleveland Clinic ,member of the academy of educators. Teacher of the year from society of Obstetric anesthesia and perinatology (SOAP).

Dr.Hesham ElSharkawy

Prof. Hesham ElSharkawy

I am Assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Department of Anesthesiology. I am also a staff in Outcome Research, General Anesthesia and Pain Management Department at Cleveland Clinic.

My Clinical interest includes Regional anesthesia, acute pain management and imaging in anesthesia. My research focus on Neuroaxial imaging, Recent advances in regional anesthesia, simulation and innovation in regional anesthesia.
